Career Path

As the Valencian program of Cooperation to the Development shows and other state and international documents of the same matter, in these points the volunteer work is becoming professional work, and it affects to the creation of new professional profiles. So the academic training in its highest levels is being needed increasingly for those people who incorporate the following profiles: professionals, academics and of complementary training.

Professionals:

• Technicians of the cooperation to the co-development who from North NGOs promote the setting up of opposing parties NGOs in impoverished countries.
  
• Officers of the NGO agencies and other international organizations.
  
• Observers of democratic election processes in situations of military post conflict.
  
• Observers and mediators in latent or real armed conflicts.
  
• Technicians of humanitarian aid for natural disasters and/or in situations of an armed conflict and military port conflict.
  
• Technicians of project planning of humanitarian aid and co-development in refugee and displaced camps.
  
• Mediators in conflicts of school violence, domestic violence or the result of social inequalities.
  
• Experts in campaigns to raise public awareness.
  
• Technicians of intercultural relationships in areas of a strong flow of immigration.

Academics:

• Professors with the necessity of a complementary training who come back to their countries of origin to serve like trainers of trainers in their own universities with master's degrees similar to the one proposed.
  
• Educators for the peace, the peaceful transformation of conflicts and the cooperation to the co-development.
  
• When academic researchers came back to their countries with the highest academic degrees (Master and Doctorate), they will be able to start programs in their universities that follow similar objectives in relation to the needs of their countries.
  
• Researchers of analysis organizations of the world situation of armaments, poverty, international relationships and conflicts.

Complementary training of other professionals:

The demand in these latter 10 years also generates us reasonable expectations of which professional of diverse fields (educators, communicators, political scientists, doctors, engineers, sociocultural entertainers, psychologists, lawyers, historians, economists, agents of the public safety ...) request a few complements of training that are given in the curriculum design of our program and they face, in this way, new sociocultural remains of the current reality.

This complementary formation qualifies these professionals for the new working places demanded by international organisms and companies of the third sector.

• Besides the reconfiguration of personnel needs in the working places that already existed on the labour market that are the objective of our program, also new professional profiles have arisen as consequence of the need of managing and including a new international order:
• Headquarters of Cooperation to the Development of the governments of the Autonomous Communities, of the State's Governments, of the Commissions of the European Union and other regional organisms of other continents.
  
• Programs of cooperation to the development of the Provincial Councils and of the Town Councils.
  
• Increase of NGOs and NGODs.
  
• Increase of the Agencies of the UNO and expectations of new institutions arisen from its possible reform.
  
• Consolidation of the Penal International Court and other international organisms.
  
• Diverse organisms(organisations) of receptions of ill-treated women, children of the street, terminal patients of AIDS in countries with sanitary scanty levels.
